Thanks to KFI 640, a cash mob helped struggling Zlaket’s Market in Garden Grove –but what can you do to improve your business?…
As you can imagine, the cash mob that invaded Zlaket’s Market last week had a huge impact on its business (see story here).
Sales are still up…
They got recognition that they’ve never experienced before – at least not in a very long time…
And they brought in customers as far away as Riverside….
Now, if you have a business and you’re thinking of organizing a cash mob, you want to rethink that strategy…
Cash mobs can bring in business and in some cases it can be sustained over a period of time…
But as a business owner, you should be doing more and NOT solely rely on cash mobs to bring you business.
After all, it can be quite a feat getting a cash mob organized; if your business is lucky enough to be chosen as part of the Cash Mob Awards Program, a lot of the planning and organizing will be done for you.
Notice the emphasis on the word “if”….
You see there’s no lack of businesses that are struggling right now…
And as you can imagine, there are a lot of business that would love to be picked by Cash Mob for its award program – including yours (if you have a business)…
What remains is that you still have to find a way to either cut costs and/or increase your sales.
Okay, you’re probably wondering what can I do to increase business?
If you’re serious about making MORE money in your business, here are three simple things you can do…
If You’re Not Lucky Enough to Get a Cash Mob Like Zlaket’s Market…
1. Keep in Contact – I’m sure you’ve heard that old business saying that “It’s easier to keep a customer than to go out and create a new customer”…and that’s because it’s true.
It’s just that no one told you exactly HOW to keep your business on your customers’ minds.
In the age of the Internet, you should be capturing your customers’ names and emails. Let your customers know of new products/services, give out coupons/discounts, give helpful tips, etc…
If you want to increase your sales exponentially, start a database of your customers purchases. This way you can recommend complimentary products/services to your customers based upon their previous purchases.
If you don’t know about email marketing, you need to read this….
Email marketing is very cost effective and should be on the top of your list – even if you you’re chosen by Cashmob.com to participate in their awards program.
Hopefully Zlaket’s Market capitalized on all the traffic they got by making the attempt to capture people’s contact info.
2. Be Found on the Internet – Every company should have an online presence. If you’re confused as to what that means, let me break it down for you…
You should have a website. Your website should show up for the keywords your customers type into the search engines to find your company, your products, etc…
3. Check your cash-flow – What are you selling? Is it producing enough income upfront? Do you have any continuity products? In other words, do you sell a membership of some sort that allows you to create income on autopilot…every single month?
Think about a gym membership – they take money out of your bank account automatically every single month with no extra effort on their part. They sold you once and every single month they make money off of you – whether or not you use the service.
Ingenious? Not really; it’s not revolutionary a lot of us Internet marketers (and network marketers) have continuity programs built into our marketing funnel – it’s just smarter business.
So, what else can you do to increase your business?
Think about this…
Are you upselling and cross-selling your customers? Are you recommending complimentary products at the point-of-sale?
Odds are you’re either leaving money on the table or you’re leaking money. Unless you find out where you’re dropping the ball, your business will continue to struggle – even if you participate in a cash mob.
I hope these tips helped you some…
